Logo Graphic Design
In geometry class we were assigned a logo creating assignment by Ms. Marsh. The goal was to use what we had learned throughout the first unit and apply it to create a logo of our name. The 21st century skill I used was my self directional skill. In class, we reviewed classes and measures of angels, different types of lines, rays, etc. With this skill I was able to create a logo independently and apply the knowledge I learned in class to the project. With self-directional skills you can always continue to improve and get better at working on your own. I think through this project I was able to spend more time using that skill and guide my progress on this assignment on my own.
What I was most proud of was how I represented all the requirements. I was glad with the end result, as I took a lot of time trying to decide what would look best where, to make the logo the most aesthetically pleasing but also accurate. I went through some difficulties trying to decide where every line and angle should go. I switched a couple thing back and forth between the two Os and somethings between the Ls and T. In the end, I was satisfied with the final result. If I could go back and redo this assignment I would make the letters more bold and visible. The measurements are accurate but the name isn't popping out like it could if I had put some more work into it.

In the past, I worked with a CAD software called floor plan creator that allowed me to build my own floor plans. That project was similar to this assignment in the sense that I used my self directional skills to use what I learned in a class lecture and build my own plans with very little instructions. I also had to work with angles, line segments, measurements, etc, just how I did for this logo design. I hope to apply the material and skills that I learned with this project in the future for other graphic design projects, such as website building, floor plan creating, modeling, and so forth.
